One of my favourite jobs this month was working with a bunch of incredibly talented classical singers and their Christmas carolling promotional shots at the fantastic 1901 Arts Club in Waterloo.

A great afternoon spent in the city with the manager of the latest The Ivy restaurant, in Canary Wharf

I spent a day with the wonderful maternity staff at Watford General Hospital, helping to promote their new maternity website

August highlights https://www.hollycant.com/blog/2018/9/august-highlights The "silly season" month of August! Generally a quiet month, I certainly felt it.

However, this months highlights includes cheeky posties, donuts, and weird children's characters - amongst others.

One of my favourite jobs of the month was shooting for Wales Online. They were covering Merthyr Town's return to Chesham United, and the focus was on their hardcore fans that follow the team all over the country

But my highlight would have to be photographing hundreds of opera singers taking part in "Sing Him Out" -  part of the Women's March movement during the anti-Trump protests in London

A hot and muggy Thursday morning in July was a strange time to be thinking about all the merriment of Christmas. A fantastic event aptly named "Christmas In July" was held at the Good House Keeping Institute

June highlights https://www.hollycant.com/blog/2018/7/june-highlights Having been away for half of the month, June has been a little quiet. I took the time this month to focus on a little side venture - animal photography.

A huge thank you to the National Animal Welfare Trust in Watford for letting me photograph some of their long standing residents. Setting up a studio in one of their back rooms, I was lucky enough to meet and photograph some incredible dogs, all in need of their forever homes.

I few little mishaps all added to the fun, and the temptation to bring them all home was a little overwhelming! Please check out my other site www.pawprintsphotography.co.uk for more four-legged friends photographs. In the meantime, here is Jaxon striking a pose:

May highlights https://www.hollycant.com/blog/2018/6/may-highlights A little late posting May's highlights due to a trip across the pond. Whilst traveling through five states, I took the following shot in Antelope, Oregon. If any of you watched Netflix's Wild Wild Country, you'll recognise it from the show. The small town of Antelope was briefly renamed Rajneeshpuram, after around 7,000 followers of the spiritual leader Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh moved in, and took over the town in the 1980's. Antelope is now back in Oregonians hands, yet the derelict buildings still have an eerie feel

Heading east through stunning Oregon and Idaho, led me to the jaw-dropping Yellowstone National Park. Choosing just one image was a tough task, this shot is of the Morning Glory Pool, in the Upper Geysey Basin

Back on home soil, it was election time for some councils and boroughs across the UK.  The Liberal Democrats celebrated a comfortable win in Watford

Yet it was all too much for some volunteers

Back to business and it's election season in some parts of the country. With two recent visits to Watford, Jeremy Corbyn is getting to know the area quite well. Debating politics with a toddler at the Little Learners Montessori Nursery and enjoying a traditional Sikh meal at Watford's Gurdwara

Continuing with politics, MP candidates in Watford answered questions at a hustings event hosted by the local paper

January highlights https://www.hollycant.com/blog/2018/2/january-highlights

Seeing as it's the start of a new year, I thought I would start a monthly blog, just a few of my favourite jobs of the month.

My first job of the year was a really interesting one. Gareth Halliday is a Watford postman with a great talent for collage art. Noel Gallagher ordered one of his prints from his website at the end of 2016, leading to a conversation between the pair and commissioning Gareth to design Noel's album artwork. After months spent designing different concepts for Noel, a selection of images were chosen to be used on the albums sleeve, including the front cover of Noel's latest release "Who Built the Moon"

Another great job, involving one of my favourite subjects: dogs. IPSE commissioned me to take some pictures of Rentadesk's pet friending co-working space in Soho, London.

Animal friendly workspace at Rentadesk The Grift is a fantastic interactive play, encircling it's audience into the middle of an adventure on how to pull off the perfect con. I met with director Tom Salamon whilst working with The Wharf in Bethnal Green, London.
